The nose is fruity, gourmand as well as relatively rich and intense. It reveals notes of crème de cassis and a hint of blackberry associated with fine touches of clay, strawberry, raspberry, chocolate as well as a hint of Sichuan pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, gourmand, well-balanced, silky, well defined and offers minerality, a nice freshness, depthness and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and slight notes of Quetsche plum jam associated with touches of fresh red fruit, chocolate, tobacco, cardamom and liquorice. Tannins are fine and well built. Good length and beautiful persistence.
