Château Hervé-Laroque 2020 – Fronsac

Château Hervé-Laroque 2020 – Fronsac

The nose offers power, freshness, a spicy side as well as an airy side in its power/intensity. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, clove and pepper associated with touches of graphite, small ripe red berries as well as a slight hint of grove and a discreet hint of camphor. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, accuracy, tension, control, concentration, density, freshness and a certain straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy/concentrated blackcurrant and slight notes of Cuben pepper associated with touches of spices, nutmeg, camphor as well as hints of sense of place, racy minerality, with a hint of cocoa and a subtle almost caramel hint (in the background). Good length.
