Château Hervé-Laroque 2018 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity and offers a fine concentration as well as a small deepness. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wild blackberry, small notes of small wild fruits associated with very fine touches of rose, lilac, small red berries, a racy minerality as well as very fine hints of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a fine acidulous frame, tension, a small concentration as well as a juicy/ripe/gourmand/friand fruit, appetence and a small gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright wild blackberry, juicy wild cassis, small notes of juicy wild strawberry associated with touches of small berries, spices, lily/fresh flowers as well as a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are precise and well-built. Good length. A hint of salinity and a discreet almost varietal hint in the finish/persistence.
