The nose offers a little power as well as intensity. The wine benefits from being decanted. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, small wild black fruits and more lightly crushed redcurrants associated with touches of racy minerality, white pepper as well as discreet hints of Bigarreau cherry, licorice and a subtle hint of toasted. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, a tangy frame, freshness as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and more slightly cornflower associated with touches of violet, camphor, licorice as well as fine hints of mocha / chocolate, with a subtle hint of toast and an imperceptible hint of coffee. Good length. Tannins are precise and finely mellow.
