Château Haut Prieur 2014 – Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fine and offers a slight concentration. It reveals notes of red berries, wild strawberry and slight notes of blackberry associated with hints of toasted oak, licorice as well as a very discreet hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity and offers fat, minerality, a slight gourmandise, a slight mineral frame, a slight acidity as well as a slight silky matter. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of red berries/redcurrant and raspberry associated with slight hints of toasted oak, an imperceptible hint of bell pepper (in the background) as well as a hint of chocolate/caramelization on the persistence. Tannins are fine and very slightly dusty.
