Château Haut-Meyreau – L’Éclat 2021 – Bordeaux

Château Haut-Meyreau – L’Éclat 2021 – Bordeaux

The nose is racy and reveals a fine power. There are notes of ripe wild dark berries, violets and more lightly of fresh nutmeg/spices combined with a very fine touch of camphor and pepper. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, juiciness, an acidic backbone, a fine tension and a fine linearity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, creamy/fresh blackcurrant and more lightly pulpy/juicy red berries, creamy/ripe blackcurrant combined with fine hints of violet, a subtle hint of peony as well as fine hints of star anise and discreet hints of toasted/sweet spice. Good length. The tannins are sapid and mellow.
