The nose is racy, fresh and offers a little varietal/spicy side. It expresses notes of blackberry, small pulpy black berries and slight notes of pepper, associated with touches of violet, as well as hints of clove. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, tanginess, a certain gourmandise, smoothness, tension and a little fat. The wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cherry and more slightly – luscious purple plum associated with touches of cherry blossom, cardamom as well as fine hints of star anise and almond.
