Château Haut-Brion 2024 – Pessac-Léognan, Cru Classé

Château Haut-Brion 2024 – Pessac-Léognan, Cru Classé

The nose is spicy, frank, racy, smoky, well-built, complex and offers a 3-dimensional/multilayered side, good definition and a certain depth. There are notes of wild blackberry, sweet pepper and small notes of graphene, associated with touches of small wild red berries, hints of black cherry, juniper berries, as well as fine hints of maceron and delicate hints of fresh hazelnut. Nice aromatic depth in finesse. The palate is well-built, mineral and offers fruit, subtlety, fine tension and an airy character. A lovely, fine, velvety, airy and subtle grain. A coating, delicate fat side. Lovely mid-palate, with a certain elegant-darkness. This wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, crunchy wild strawberry and small notes of small juicy/tangy fruits, combined with touches of lilac, cornflower, fine hints of iodized/racy minerality, smoke, a subtle hint of sweet tobacco and discreet hints of tobacco. Good length.
