The nose is elegant and offers a certain richness of fruit, fleshiness, purity, freshness, fine concentration and a fine air of power. There are notes of boysenberry, bright raspberry and, to a lesser extent, ripe red berries, combined with hints of violet, lily, pulpy blue berries, as well as discreet hints of chalk, chocolate, almond and a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background). The palate is fruity, delicate and reveals a nice acidic backbone, a nice freshness, good definition, minerality, a certain gourmandize, some airiness, some richness/pulpiness of the fruit, fine tension, complexity, a fine spherical aspect of the fruit as well as an acidic structure. On the palate this wine expresses fleshy/pulpy cherry, tart strawberry and slightly blueberry notes combined with hints of pulpy/juicy blackberry, tonka bean, toastiness, vanilla, toasted almond as well as subtle chalky, bergamot (background) and discrete hints of star anise (background). Nice sapidity and a fine iodine character (in the background). Nice harmony. The tannins are racy, precise, powerful and elegant.
