The nose is elegant, deep, beautifully defined, precise, complex and offers deepness, freshness as well as precision and purity. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackberry, small wild black fruits, small notes of violet associated with touches of cuben pepper, cornflower, wild strawberry, camphor as well as fine hints of mild tobacco, incense, very discreet hints of grey pepper, badiane and underwood. The palate is delicate, gourmand, beautifully fresh, racy and offers a racy minerality, a beautiful acidulous frame (full of delicacy/justness), dynamism as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain, a very beautiful finesse of the suavity, deepness, a beautiful purity of the aromatic and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy/ripe raspberry, small notes of juicy/ripe cassis associated with touches of small red berries, ripe/fleshy violet plum as well as hints of cornflower, graphite, camphor, tonka bean, very fine hints of mild tobacco, toasted hazelnut, sweet spices and badiane. Tannins are elegant, precise and supple. A good length. Very discreet hints of cocoa, almond/toasted hazelnut, a hint of grilled and salinity in the persistence. A wine full of finesse (despite power), delicacy… a true square of silk. (+17 caudalies)
