The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration and a gourmand fruitiness. It expresses notes of bigarreau cherry (with a taste of dried cherry), morello cherry, black plum, wild strawberry and crushed blackcurrant, associated with a delicate spicy touch (liquorice, even star anise, a touch of vanilla, seed crushed coriander), which highlights the fruit. We also find a subtle touch of torrefaction (coffee, toasted wood in the background), herbs (peppermint, tobacco) and peony. The palate is structured, woody, but quite supple. It expresses notes of black plum, crushed blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry in chocolate, as well as dark chocolate, liquorice, grilled vanilla, a hint of smoke, toasted wood, mint. pepper and peony in the background. The tannins are firm, a little dry and gripping. The finish offers roundness, gourmet fruit and a salivating acidity which balances the tannins. It also expresses a delicate caramelised touch in the background.
