The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant and expresses intense aromas of sweet spices (liquorice, cardamom, a touch of nutmeg and white pepper, as well as vanilla, which appears after aeration). On the second nose, we find the fruity notes of morello cherry, juicy red cherry, crushed raspberry, red plum and a touch of blackberry, combined with a hint of peppermint and peony. The palate is airy and silky, with juicy fruits and good bitterness. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, black plum, blackberry and strawberry, combined with notes of dark chocolate, white pepper, liquorice and nutmeg. The tannins are tight, dry on the finish, balanced by a lively acidity. Good persistence with good bitterness of cocoa.
