The nose is tasty, spicy, a bit roasted – it expresses notes of roasted red cherry, morello cherry, roasted raspberry, wild strawberry, fresh cassis and dried cassis as well as roasted and dried aromatic herbs (roasted rosemary, dried thyme, dried mint), dried pine needles, toasted hazelnut, hint of chocolate and sweet coffee as well as violet. The palate is juicy, ripe and enveloping, with a hint of roasted hazelnut and dark chocolate. It also expresses flavors of fresh fruit (morello cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, fresh cassis), roasted fruit (roasted red cherry, roasted raspberry) and roasted herbs (roasted rosemary, roasted thyme). The tannins are solid, even powerful and a bit grippy. The palate is tight, but gourmand and with a good bitterness of dark chocolate and dried bird cherry in the background.
