The nose is fruity, with a certain powerful and nicely peppery. We find notes of blackberry, star anise and Sichuan pepper, associated with touches of crushed strawberry, crushed cassis, as well as a hint of morello cherry and a fine hint of vanilla. The palate is nicely juicy and fruity, with a beautiful minerality, brightness, gourmandise, a tangy frame and silkiness. We perceive notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, blackberry and more lightly, small bright blue fruits associated with touches of crushed redcurrant, as well as hints of licorice stick and vanilla. Tannins are mellow, sapid and tasty. A lovely play on good bitters in the background. Delicate wine. Good length.
