Château Haut-Batailley 2023 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

Château Haut-Batailley 2023 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, spicy, a good definition. It expresses notes of violet, star anise and more slightly – nutmeg associated with touches of pulpy blackberry, camphor, as well as a hint of infusion and warm bass, an imperceptible almost sappy hint, a subtle hint of dense / juicy cherry. The palate is nicely juicy, fresh, pulpy, gourmet, harmonious and offers silkiness, harmony, an enveloping side in the mouth. It expresses notes of pulpy / juicy red cherry, small roasted-juicy red fruits and more slightly – blueberry associated with touches of fresh tobacco as well as hints of tonka bean, toasted almond as well as a hint of camphor and cardamom. Good length, the tannins are fresh, sapid, frank, straight and tasty, nice little tangy sapidity on the persistence and a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla.
