The nose is fruity, « frank » and taut, with crispness and a few spice, offering concentration,
finesse, precision and a certain darkness. It reveals a lovely side of Sichuan pepper, with a
hint of violet, lily and a discreet hint of sappy. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, elegant,
balanced, with an tangy frame, gourmandise, tension, precision, fine creaminess and
beautiful energy and purity. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright cherry and small
notes of crushed redcurrant, associated with fine touches of strawberry as well as hints of
fresh pepper, sappy and a hint almost of fresh/juicy violet plum. It also offers fine
creaminess, a discreet hint of vanilla, roasted almond and a subtle hint of salt/iodine in the
background. Good length and persistence. A little hint of almost infused sage in the
background, with a hint of cocoa. A nicely complex and harmonious wine. The tannins are
mellow, tasty and fresh.
