Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2024 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2024 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

(94% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc) The nose is elegant, aromatic, frank, racy, spicy and offers a smoky side as well as a fine grain, finely tight and airy/stretchy. There are notes of boysenberry, Bigarreau cherry and small notes of gray pepper, associated with touches of violet, hints of small roasted-elegant red fruits, as well as fine hints of infusion and bergamot. A very discreet hint of blood orange in the background. The palate is well-built, juicy, pulpy and offers brightness, gourmandise, fleshy fruit, energy and brilliance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, juicy/pulpy cassis and small notes of small bright blue fruits, combined with touches of raspberry and hints of violet. Beautiful, finely sappy tannins, saline and tasty. Lovely saline character. Good length.
