Château Hanteillan 2022 – Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is reserved, but it offers concentration and accuracy. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, fresh morello cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry jam, crushed strawberry and red currant jam, combined with notes of dried mint, licorice, white pepper, as well as dried herbs and flowers (thyme, bay leaf, cornflower and violet). On the palate, the wine is tight and astringent, with a perceptible bitterness on the finish. The tannins are very powerful and dry, with a certain roundness on the finish, thanks to a lively acidity. The flavors are tight and tangy: the wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry, tart strawberry, dried mint, licorice and white pepper. The finish is astringent, with a pronounced tannic side, softened by a lively acidity.
