CHÂTEAU GRAVES DE PEZ 2023 – Saint Estèphe

The nose is aromatic, racy and offers a fine power and a certain small intensity. It expresses notes of fresh raspberries, small pulpy/fleshy red berries and more slightly – blackcurrant associated with touches of lily, spices as well as fine almost balsamic/sage hints and a discreet hint of Punjab pepper. The palate is fruity, finely tight and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral frame, good definition, accuracy, tension, energy and acidity. It expresses notes of fresh red cherry, small fresh red berries and more slightly – sap associated with touches of iris as well as fine hints of salinity/iodine and clove. The tannins are sapid and mellow. Good length, accuracy and freshness, a relatively tight wine for the moment
