Château Grand-Puy Ducasse 2012 – Pauillac – Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fine, aromatic, enveloping, relatively complex and powerful (but perfectly balanced). It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis and slight hints of morello cherry associated with a hint of crushed strawberry, slight notes of caramelized oak as well as a discreet hint of sweet spices, a hint of flowers and a very discreet hints of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, fat, round, fine, elegant and offers a very slight juiciness, a beautiful fat, a mineral frame (racy minerality) as well as very slight notes of iodine. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, plum and slight notes of raspberry, cherry associated with thins of grilled oak as well as a discreet hint of cacao and zan. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length.
