The nose is slightly tight and offers a fine concentration as well as a fine gourmandize. It reveals notes of ripe/fleshy cassis, blackberry and more slightly chocolate associated with touches of spices as well as a discreet hint of cornflower, Sichuan pepper and tea. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, well-defined and offers a good definition, juiciness, a fine freshness, a fine mineral frame, gourmandize, fullness as well as a small suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, ripe/juicy cassis and more slightly ripe/crushed small red fruits associated with fine touches of toasted oak, liquorice and chocolate/tonka bean. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
