The nose is a bit tight/closed. The wine needs to be decanted. There are notes of cooked blueberry, pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly morello cherry combined with subtle touches of ripe/acidulated berries as well as hints of cola, roast, lily and a touch of pepper. The palate is fresh, mineral, fruity and offers good definition, a certain juiciness and a fine unctuousness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, cooked blueberry and, to a lesser extent, jammy strawberry, combined with hints of crushed berries and fine hints of dark chocolate, cardamom and caramelisation. A wine that is marked by a silty/clay-like richness.
