Château Grand Corbin Manuel 2021 Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is intense, spicy and woody: it expresses aromas of toast, smoke, coffee, gray pepper, nutmeg, cloves and dried liquorice. The second nose offers fruit (ripe strawberry, morello cherry, wild blackberry, raspberry, black plum and a touch of blueberry), associated with notes of dried mint, dried cornflower and violet. The palate is juicy and round on attack, but expresses the tight tannic structure in the middle. We find notes of morello cherry, black plum, blackberry, strawberry and crushed raspberry, associated with a touch of dried blueberry, licorice, nutmeg, pepper, and expressive notes of torrefaction  (coffee, hazelnut). toasted, chocolate, smoked) as well as a touch of chocolate cherry and dried mint. The finish is tasty, persistent, with powdery tannins and less tight than in the mid-palate. Nice acidity and good structure on the palate.
