Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh, precise, well-defined and offers complexity in finesse, deepness as well as delicacy. It reveals notes of boysenberry, lilac and small notes of small bright small blue fruits associated with touches of lily, Sichuan pepper as well as fine hints of infusion, racy minerality (terroir, soil). The palate is beautifully built, sapid, supple, fresh, elegant, airy, precise and offers a complete side, pulpiness, a melodious side as well as flesh/richness (full of accuracy and without heaviness). Creaminess in freshness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackcurrant, bright blueberry and bright small red fruits combined with touches of juicy roasted fruits, star anise as well as a subtle hint of sage, infusion, chocolate, tonka bean as well as a discreet note of cardamom and toasted almonds. The wine is beautifully mellow and gourmand, with a nice small chew. Good length. Very nice tasty and gourmande persistence.
