Château Grand Corbin-Despagne 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, powerful and offers a certain intensity and complexity. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, cornflower, violet, small notes of wild blackberry associated with touches of wild strawberry, small wild fruits as well as fine hints of zan, tobacco, grey pepper and spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, elegant, delicate and offers harmony, a soothing side, a fresh/mineral side, a beautiful finesse of the suavity as well as roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh cassis, wild blackberry, small notes of juicy raspberry associated with touches of juicy/fresh violet plum as well as hints of violet, iris, a racy minerality, discreet hints of camphor, toasted, mocha and an imperceptible hint of grey pepper. Tannins are fine, elegant and racy. A very discreet hint of grilled coffee on the persistence.
