The nose is fruity, racy and offers a fine peppery side that coats the fruit. It reveals notes of boysenberry, violet and slight notes of camphor associated with touches of wild black berries as well as almost sappy hints, touches of star anise, currants, spices and a discreet hint of black pepper. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh/mineral frame, good definition, smoothness and some salinity. Good job on the bitters. On the palate this wine expresses notes of boysenberry, tangy/juicy black berries and slight notes of currant associated with touches of violet, camphor, lily, saline hints as well as a subtle almost sappy hint , notes of toast/camphor and tobacco. A racy and finely tight grain.
