The nose is fruity with generous/pulpy fruit, a little restrained power and a fine uprightness. There are notes of pulpy boysenberry, crushed blackcurrant and more lightly of fresh/juicy wild strawberry combined with delicate touches of violet, lily, morello cherry and a hint of liquorice and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, discreetly tight and offers minerality, freshness and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, blackcurrant and, more slightly, violet, combined with hints of cherry, peony and fine points of liquorice and fresh tobacco. Good length. The tannins are precise.
