Château Goudichaud « Héritage » 2023 – Graves de Vayres

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is fruity, gourmand, slightly vanilla-like (the wine benefits from aeration). It expresses notes of ripe exotic fruits (pineapple, passion fruit, a hint of papaya), juicy white melon, white peach, tangy apricot, as well as notes of sweet but refreshing citrus fruits (pomelo, orange zest, ripe yellow lemon). We then find a fine floral bouquet (acacia, a hint of apple blossom and orange blossom), as well as touches of toasted hazelnut in the background, fresh almond and a slightly saline mineral hint, as well as a touch of honey. The palate is gourmand, fruity and tangy, with a pleasant mineral frame, which develops into a saline hint on the persistence. The palate expresses the tangy flavors of fresh citrus fruits (crushed lemon, grapefruit, orange in the background), white peach, tangy apricot, pineapple and passion fruit, combined with a fine woodiness (vanilla, fresh hazelnut, toasted hazelnut in the background) and a subtle floral bouquet (acacia, lime blossom, apple blossom). The finish offers a touch of good bitterness and a salivating acidity.
