The nose is fruity, gourmand, well-built and offers a certain concentration. It reveals notes of boysenberry, crushed blackcurrant and small notes of bright strawberry associated with fine touches of juicy roasted fruits, licorice as well as a fine hint of caramelization, toasted, blond tobacco and a touch of green pepper. The palate is nicely structured, fruity, balanced with a tangy structure. There is juiciness, suppleness, gourmandise as well as a little silkiness. We have notes of pulpy/juicy blackcurrant, juicy fleshy blackberry and slightly crushed cherry associated with touches of strawberries, juicy small fruits as well as a hint of licorice, star anise and a hint of sweet blond tobacco. We also perceive a note of iris, toast and fine touches of toasted hazelnut. Tannins are sapid and mellow with gourmandise.
