Château Godeau 2022 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Château Godeau 2022 – Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

The nose is precise, clean, with a chiseled side and great purity. There are notes of bright blackcurrant, black cherry, and more discreetly a touch of pulpy and bright red berries, combined with touches of elegant roast, as well as nuances of cornflower and fresh blond tobacco. The palate is nicely structured, fresh, fruity, with a nice minerality. The structure is fresh, marked by tension and accuracy, with crystalline purity on the palate. There are notes of juicy roasted cherry, bright blackcurrant, combined with a touch of elegant roasted red berries, a hint of sage, star anise, and a subtle hint of toast and chocolate. Good length, with mellow and sapid tannins. Gourmandise, freshness and a nice tanginess come through well, with a subtle citrus note (slight tanginess in the background).
