The nose is aromatic and intense and relatively concentrated. It reveals notes of fresh plum and blackberry associated with a hint of cassis jam, cherry tail and licorice. The palate is fruity, relatively gourmand, relatively powerful and offers a good small acid frame as well as a silky and slightly unctuous matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plum jam, blackberry cream and slight notes of blueberry associated with a hint of liquorice. Tannins are fine and well built. Good length and persistence with slight notes of coffee and toasted oak. The finish is relatively suave.
