Lovely elegant nose, delicate in its power, suppleness, gourmandise, substance/a textured side as well as elegance in its amplitude. We find notes of bright blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and small notes of crushed morello cherry associated with touches of small roasted red fruits, pepper, lily, hints of almost aromatic herbs, infusion, saffron (in its floral side) and chocolate. The palate is nicely mineral, gourmand and offers a tangy structure, a nice energy, suppleness, creaminess, subtlety, depth in control, a beautiful freshness, tension, accuracy as well as a very nice material. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, pulpy/bright blackcurrant and small notes of bright raspberry associated with touches of star anise, zan, small roasted red fruits, blue plum, delicate hints of infusion/maceration, sense of place (local biotop/terroir), sweet blond tobacco, vanilla and fine, almost iodized hints, sage, sap and toast. The tannins are melted. Nice length.
