The nose is elegant, fruity and offers harmony, fullness, a nice finesse of the texture, power in mastery / delicacy, richness, an airy side in the approach as well as a multi-layered side (which therefore requires time in the glass or in a carafe). It reveals notes of bright black blackberry, licorice stick associated with touches of bright black plum, raspberry, black pepper as well as hints of cornflower, spices, with a discreet hint of tobacco, with an imperceptible hint of cypress and a subtle hint of camphor. The palate is elegant, delicate, nicely fresh, all in control and offers a nice finesse of the texture, a nice airy side, a silky side (silk in what is most delicate) as well as power in control and delicacy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright wild cassis, bright black blackberry and more slightly black pepper associated with small touches of crushed raspberry, bright red plum, hints of lilac, cypress, dark chocolate, caramelization as well as discreet hints of blond tobacco, camphor, a subtle hint of vanilla (in the base) and a very discreet hint of roasted herbs (in the base). Tannins are elegant, harmonious and supple. Presence of a very nice multi-layered side. A very nice length.
