Château Franc-Maillet 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, mineral and racy. A few very discreet clay hints. It reveals notes of fresh raspberry, fresh blackberry and small notes of small wild berries associated with floral touches as well as fine hints of wild pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition, accuracy, a certain small tension. It expresses notes of juicy/tart blackberry, small fleshy/juicy red berries and small notes of tangy plum, associated with touches of violet, tonka bean as well as a subtle hint of toast, roasted almond, racy minerality and an iodized hint. Good length. Tannins are racy and enveloping.
