Château FOURCAS-DUPRE 2022 – Listrac-Médoc

The nose is aromatic, fruity and offers a certain power and intensity of grain, racy and deep. It is a nice ambassador for its terroir. It reveals notes of violet, flowers and small notes of infusion associated with touches of Sichuan pepper, spices, as well as hints of blackberry and bright raspberry. On the palate, the wine is well-built, supple, fresh, mineral and offers balance, precision, tension and a tannic frame that is finely tight and sharp as well as acidic. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, cassis and more discreetly, small red berries associated with touches of tobacco, graphite, pepper, as well as hints of racy gravels and fine floral touches. Tannins are mellow and sapid. A little chewiness and a sense of gourmandise. A wine offering finesse, suppleness and offers touches of licorice in the background and a subtle almost mandarin leaf note on the finish.
