Château Fontis 2022 – Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

The nose is elegant, deep, with lovely ripe fruit and a certain complexity. It reveals notes of fleshy red cherry, brilliant strawberry and small notes of juicy/bright cassis, associated with touches of cardamom, Sichuan pepper, a hint of colas, lily and a very discreet hint of sappy. The palate is fruity, with juiciness, freshness, suavity, good definition, lovely fruit brightness, a chiselled side, depth and a fine blackness in freshness and elegance. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, fleshy/juicy strawberry small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of toasted, toasted hazelnut, a hint of chocolate, infusion as well as a subtle hint of clove. Tannins are elegant, fresh and juicy. A discreet hint of iodine in the background.
