Château Fontis 2019 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

Château Fontis 2019 – Médoc Cru Bourgeois

The nose is aromatic and offers fine complexity and concentration. There are notes of boysenberry, crushed raspberry and, more slightly, pulpy black fruits combined with fine touches of violet, delicate hints of liquorice stick and a discreet hint of nutmeg and vanilla. The palate is fresh, mineral, balanced and offers some fat, a certain gourmandise, a nice freshness and a fine unctuousness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, fresh/juicy raspberry and, more slightly, fresh cherry, combined with subtle touches of iris, fresh lily and fine points of racy minerality, liquorice, chocolate and a subtle hint of almond. Sapidity on the finish. Good work on the bitter taste, especially on the finish.
