Château Fontenil 2022 – Fronsac

Beautiful fruity nose, creamy and which offers deepness, a certain intensity / concentration. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, graphite, blueberry and small notes of minerality, creamy strawberry associated with hints of cornflowers, chocolate, toast, caramelization as well as fine hints of tobacco and a subtle kirsch hint. The palate is fruity and offers a nice juiciness, a tangy frame, freshness, bright, a crystalline side as well as energy. Almost a chalky side in the background. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/acidulous blackcurrant and small notes of creamy redcurrant associated with touches of graphene, chocolate and toasted almond. Tannins are elegant, precise, powdery and offer chewiness. The finish is powdery. Beautiful chewiness and persistence. Beautiful freshness and minerality.
