On the nose, elegant and offers power (in control), a nice fine grain, intensity and depth. It reveals notes of ripe/fresh wild blackberry, juicy/pulpy black berries and more lightly strawberry combined with hints of small fresh flowers (violet, lily) as well as zan, grey pepper and discreet hints of spice, fresh tobacco leaf and vanilla. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, harmony, sweetness, depth, generosity, gourmandise, nice definition and pulpiness/juiciness. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and lighter black berry notes with a touch of fleshy/juicy blue berry, fresh flowers, spice, licorice stick, fresh tobacco and hints of fresh hazelnut, distinguished/chalky/graphite minerality and a discreet hint of fresh vanilla bean. Good length. The tannins are precise, present, structuring and justly mellow. |
