The wine benefits from decanting. The nose is tightly wound with a fine grain and a nice stretch. There are notes of wild blackberry and slightly crunchy wild strawberry combined with fine touches of lily, ripe dark berries, fine zan, rose and a discreet hint of graphite and sweet spices. The palate offers juiciness, a nice freshness, minerality, roundness and precision. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, fresh raspberry and more slightly bright red berry notes combined with hints of fresh violet, racy/local gravel, fine rose, star anise, a subtle hint of graphite, chocolate, hazelnut, mocha (in the background) and a discreet sappy hint. A wine that needs time in the glass.
