Château Fontarabie 2021 – Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fruity and reveals some power and a racy texture. There are notes of pulpy wild blackcurrant, morello cherry and more lightly crushed red berries combined with hints of liquorice stick, fine hints of sweet spices and a very discreet touch of pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, acidity, minerality and crispness. On the palate this wine expresses juicy, acidic cherry, crushed strawberry and more lightly blackcurrant notes combined with hints of bright raspberry and a fine touch of plum blossom, pepper and a discreet almost varietal character (in the background). The tannins are sapid. Good length. An accessible wine.
