Château Fonroque 2023 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity and offers a fine fleshy, a discreet airy side. It expresses notes of fleshy/juicy raspberry, fresh blackberry and more slightly – juicy/fresh fruits, associated with a hint of blueberry and infusion, and has a hint of tonka bean, toasted. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, a nice definition, a tangy frame, a good definition. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, roasted raspberry and more slightly – small bright/pulpy fruits, associated with touches of fleshy blackcurrant, as well as fine hints of tobacco, lily and tonka bean. Good length, with a discreet hint of cardamom and chocolate. The tannins are sapid, precise and frank, silky and harmonious. A discreet hint of good cocoa bitterness on the finish/persistence.
