The nose is fruity and offers freshness as well as intensity in control. There are notes of fairly ripe cassis, violet and more slightly gray pepper associated with small touches of fairly ripe raspberry as well as fine hints of mint / star anise, orange peel, spices and tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, power, a fine airy side in the approach as well as a small linear and finely tight side. A little “dull” fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, fairly ripe cassis and slightly star anise associated with touches of violet, tobacco as well as a subtle hint of meat and a discreet hint of spices. Tannins are precise, well-structured and very discreetly marked. Good length.
