Château Flaunys 2022 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

Château Flaunys 2022 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

(100% Merlot) The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is dense, fruity and ripe. It expresses notes of black plum, juicy morello cherry, wild strawberry, raspberry jam, redcurrant jelly, as well as a discreet woody hint (liquorice, a hint of dark chocolate, toasted hazelnut and smoke in the background, nutmeg, licorice). There is also a hint of kirsch cherry and prunes in the background, associated with airy and elegant aromas of rose and peony. The palate is suave, airy and juicy, with an expressive morello cherry flavor. It also expresses notes of black plum, blackberry, crushed wild strawberry, kirsch cherry and raspberry parcels, associated with a spicy and gourmand woody hint (liquorice, white pepper, cardamom in the background, a hint of toasted hazelnut and toasted wood). Tannins are well constructed, supple and fine, but structured. Good bitterness, notes of rosemary and violet on the persistence, accompanied by a lively and salivating acidity.
