Château Filhot 2013 – Sauternes, 2ème Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fresh, fruity, elegant and offers a slight concentration. It reveals notes of quince and candied lemon associated with discreet hints of dried peach, mango as well as discreet hints of green lemon zests/yuzu zests, flowers and a hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, gourmand, racy and offers a slight acid frame, a beautiful fat, unctuosity, suavity as well as a good definition/precision. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, peach in syrup and slight notes of crushed pear associated with slight toasted hints, vanilla as well as slight touches of botrytis and honey. Good length.
