The nose is complex, a bit tight (currently) and would benefit from being decanted. It reveals notes of violet blackcurrant and small notes of ripe wild small fruits associated with touches of liquorice stick, black tea, a hint of almost aromatic herbs and salty gravels as well as a note of sweet pepper. The palate is beautifully fruity and offers minerality, freshness, tension and just a precise unctuosity, a beautiful small fat as well as mellowness. There are notes of pulpy and juicy blackcurrant, pulpy/juicy purple plum and cornflowers associated with touches of roasted-elegant raspberry as well as a note of aromatic herbs (also present on the nose), tobacco, graphene and hints of smoke. A subtle, almost sappy hint of verbena in the background and discreet touches of mocha. Tannins are racy, precise, fine and mellow. Beautiful and gourmande toasted hints, chocolate and a hint of coffee on the persistance.
