The nose is powerful, elegant, intense and offers deepness as well as complexity. It reveals notes of bright cassis, small wild black fruits and small notes of violet associated with touches of griotte cherry, pepper, spices as well as fine hints of incense, a very discreet hint of dry oak and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. The palate is fresh, fruity, mineral, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, precision, gourmandize, a beautiful fine grain, fullness, a fine acidulous frame and a certain straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, quite ripe wild raspberry and small notes of fresh violet associated with touches of small wild berries as well as hints of fresh tobacco, nutmeg, fine hints of bergamot, underwood, chocolate and a subtle hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are very finely chewy. Good length. A very discreet hint of caramelization in the finish/persistence.
