Château Fayat 2022 – Pomerol

Château Fayat 2022 – Pomerol

(89% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc) The nose is aromatic, spicy, and offers a certain power, notes of wild blackberry and small notes of concentrated wild blackcurrant associated with touches of violet, lilac as well as hints of fresh blond tobacco, zan as well as an almost star anise/anise hint and fresh pepper. The palate is nicely conducted, fruity, suave, gourmet, and offers a tangy frame, a nice precise, fine and racy grain, even an earthiness in its grain and airiness in its creaminess/richness. It expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy plum and small notes of small red berries associated with touches of juicy/tart strawberry, liquorice, toast. Good length, chewiness, tension and good definition. Tannins are mellow.
