Château Fayat 2022 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, aromatic, elegant and offers aromatic complexity as well as a certain finesse. It reveals notes of boysenberry, small wild blue fruits and small notes of crushed red fruits associated with touches of cornflower, star anise as well as a subtle hint of cardamom, camphor and fresh nutmeg. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition, accuracy, suppleness and silkiness, a nice energy. It expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, roasted-juicy raspberry and small notes of fleshy/juicy blue plum associated with touches of chocolate, small crushed red berries as well as hints of liquorice stick and a subtle hint of toast. Mellow and tasty tannins. A hint of graphite and good bitterness. A discreet almost chalky hint in the background.
