Château Fayat 2021 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity, fresh and reveals some floral and crisp quality. There are notes of ripe/fresh wild blackcurrant and more lightly of violet combined with delicate hints of crisp red fruit, violet and a fine touch of zan, spice and a discreet hint of almost eucalyptus and pepper. The palate is fruity and shows minerality, freshness, crispness, fine tension and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/crisp red berries, juicy/fresh blackberry and more lightly of fresh flowers combined with fine peony, varietal and violet notes, toast, chocolate and a subtle hint of vanilla. Good length.
